The Student Affairs Advisory Board is a team comprised of alumni, parents, business and industry partners, and K-12 educators who provide strategic input and feedback to the Vice President for Student Affairs on programs, services and activities that promote student life, enhance the student experience, and support student success at the University at Albany.

01/22 - Present

Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens (FoKAG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects people to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, a national park located in Ward 7 of Washington, DC, specializing in the display of aquatic plants. FoKAG works in cooperation with the National Park Service to ensure the park is well-maintained, well-enjoyed and welcoming for neighbors and visitors.

The Returning Citizens Mentoring Program at Catholic Charities provides mentoring to men and women returning to their communities after incarceration. The goal is to help prevent returning citizens from falling back to previous mistakes by helping them find and follow a path to a new career. They accomplished this by creating a support network centered on volunteer mentors who work closely with returning citizens.

Washington, DC’s Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) is a non-partisan, neighborhood body made up of locally elected representatives. In addition to providing people with a greater say in the matters that affect their neighborhoods, ANCs were intended to end the duplication of effort caused by the proliferation of special advisory groups.

Jubilee Jobs provides professional, compassionate job placement into marketplace jobs for people eager and ready to work. It is one of the city’s largest and longest-serving employment organizations and through their process of compassionate, professional job preparation and placement, over 27,000 people have gone to work, meeting the needs of individuals and business community citywide.
