The U.S. Census Bureau is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce and is a principal agency of the United States Federal Statistical System. The U.S. Census Bureau is responsible for producing data about the American people and economy and conducts the Decennial Census every ten years.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the largest office within the Executive Office of the President of the United States. OMB’s most prominent function is to produce the president's budget, but it also examines agency programs, policies, and procedures to see whether they comply with the president's policies and coordinates inter-agency policy initiatives.

The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is the statistical branch of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. NASS conducts surveys and issues reports on topics including agricultural production, economics, demographics and the environment, and also conducts the U.S. Census of Agriculture every five years.
